Description

allow users to have an easier time "upgrading" a server.

Ideas:

program that takes old war (or directory) + new war (or directory) --> new code with old config (.war or directory)
--> use the capabilities/ from the new war
--> all the .jsp will need to be overwritten (and work/ cleaned out)
--> server will need to re-start
--> could have permission problems...

web app --> upload a new .war or .zip (geoserver_data_dir)

These issue has been in resolved state for at least one month (quite a bit, a lot more than one month). Batch transitioning them to closed state
