Interesting beast, this specification added the notion of:

  • stored queries with parameters/placeholders (a la SDE), with creation, listing, description and destruction
  • joins between feature types (scalar, temporal and spatial joins!)
  • paging
  • a new mushy operation called getproperties that returns directly the feature properties as opposed to the features (!!)
    Fun stuff, it'll take forever to have all of this implemented and in an efficient manner... happiliy enough, all of the above is optional
