Configuration drops feature types is the datastore cannot connect

Description

Try the following:

  • configure a couple of feature types from a postgis connection
  • make it so you cannot connect anymore (close postgis, change the connection params)
  • apply/save
    The feature types are gone. The current validation in the catalog is a good idea, but it should not throw away invalid layers.

All these issues have been in "resolved" state for at least one month (many of them, much more than that). Since no one has reopened them, I'm mass-switching them to closed state. Reopen if you feel the issue has not been addressed properly.
