StartTeam support

It's gonna be a pain in the arse to build but good luck! Actually it's probably not that bad, your best bet is to use the Java API, the command line client is really bad.
Use Groovy and the Java API and transfer the changesets and results using YAML to Ruby. Should work.

What you are suggesting sounds like a fairly simple way to implement it, but the drawback is the introduced dependency on a java runtime (groovy's ok, we can alsway bundle the groovy/asm jars in DC). So I'd like to try with the command line unless it is too much of a pain.

What exactly are the arse-pains associated with stcmd (and any other cmdline tools starteam might have)? What we need is:

-for the plugin itself: (It would be great not to depend on java/groovy here)
o check out
o get logs

-for the tests: (It is ok to use java api/groovy here in any case)
o create repo
o import files
o add new file
o commit file

What are the specific difficulties you have encountered?
-parsing of change logs?
-knowing what files to delete in the working copy?
-other things?

This is going pretty well, despite the fact that StarTeam sucks **** in ****. I still need to resolve some strange date behaviour. It seems like getting changesets between time A and B may actually return deleted files from before A. Probably a bug in the Java code.

Fix for the deleted files problem. This issue can be closed when this is applied.
