"endinsar-se" és més habitual que endinsar.

Can anybody think of another equivalent for 'to go deep'? I know what Margarita means but somehow it doesn't sound right (particularly on its own and out of context). I cannot for the life of me think of a good alternative. Whereas 'to go deep into' works well enough in the example provided by the GDLC 'Ens vam endinsar en un bosc' - 'We went deep into a wood / forest', it doesn't seem to work so well for other examples of 'endinsar-se' that I found with Google.

This is an interesting one. Endinsar-se dins (un bosc) is to go deep into, but there are lots of examples of endinsar-se en alguna cosa.

This seems to mean to get really involved in something, to become absorbed in some subject, to go into something in depth.
