I wonder if Dacco should try to give some guidance on the use of pairs of adjectives in -ic and -ical. They are usually synonymous (though not in the case e.g. of "economic" and "economical"). In the example at issue, it seems to me that "anatomical" has the more general sense and is more widely used than "anatomic" (10600000 : 2610000 via Google). But In this case I don't have much intuition about any difference in usage.
