I would also like to add the expression 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating'. This means 'you need to try something before you can judge it' (no pots jutjar una cosa fins que no la coneixis). Is there a set expression with similar meaning in Catalan?

For now, at least, I have given the following as very approximate meanings for 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating':
s'ha de provar una cosa abans de poder-ne dir res
and
el més important són els resultats

O "menjar i beure, fotre i no creure". Potser "cosa feta, consell dat" també.
