I would suggest something along the following lines:

endegar
verb [trans]
1. to organize / to organise (Br.) / to tidy up / to arrange
2. to put together
3. to get (something) on the right path
4. to begin <engnote>Although 'endegar' is often used to mean 'to begin', it is not advisable to use it with this meaning yourself (use 'iniciar' or 'començar' or 'engegar' instead) as its use is often frowned upon</engnote>

I like (4) - maybe we need a "native speakers only" tag.

endegar sense 4. is probably a malapropism in origin. It sounds a bit like "engegar" and "encetar" which do include 'begin' in their meanings.
