It expects a document in there: http://foo.bar.com/foo.xml. Do you need it to be more lenient?

From what emmanuel wrote on IRC it seems that it requires the hostname to contain a dot (.).

Also, as a general URL validator it seems to strict to require it to actually point to a document. The URL spec in itself doesn't talk about documents and directories, does it?
