Description

We have parent project in Default Project Group and all other module in another project group.
We add module project using continuum-xmlrpc-api.
Everything works fine but randomly, when we create a new module, continuum crashes showing an error says that cannot found parent project.
We must delete the parent project, upload again the same, upload the module and then all works fine.

Does the log file on the server have a more complete error message that says exactly what artifact is missing?

I think this is most likely related to CONTINUUM-1789, which has been fixed but not yet released.

The error is the same of CONTINUUM-1789 (add.project.artifact.not.found.error) but we have a different situation:
Parent project exists, we are able to add modules and everything works fine.
Somehow adding a new module continuum fire an error.

Uploading module by web page, in the log file we find

3306223 [http-8008-1] INFO org.apache.maven.continuum.project.builder.ContinuumProjectBuilder:maven-two-builder - Downloading http://MySite/P-1.11.3-alpha2.pom

3495376 [http-8008-1] INFO org.apache.maven.continuum.Continuum:default - add.project.artifact.not.found.error

and in the web page is shown:

"Missing artifact trying to build the POM. Check that its parent POM is available or add it first in Continuum."

It seems that continuum ignores the parent project already uploaded.

Sincerely I don't know.
we are using Continuum 1.1.
We deployed the war on tomcat and we have the problem when we kill tomcat and continuum is running a build.
If no project in queue and no project is running, is all ok.
Thanks

closing as dupe of 1789, please reopen if it still occurs with latest version of Continuum
