Description

it'd be good to be able to customise the footer - for the ASF install on vmbuild I'd like to be able to link to the correct place to report issues/get help.

What do you want exactly to customise ?
The full footer or only a simple link like <a href="mailto:${email}">${label}</a> (with this include in a xletf div in the current bottom) ?

I think it's only the left side. The text would be HTML ( link or more complex html)

The customed content will be stored using registry.

I need to customize the full footer for a corporate installation. Instead of one support link I have three, so it ends up needing two lines.

Maybe a configuration page with text areas for left and right footer content? (Olivier, what do you mean by storing it using "registry"?)

Ideally Continuum would be "skinnable", but that's a bigger issue than changing the footer text.

Agree on the configuration page. But not sure for right footer content. The copyright must be somewhere or can we accept remove of this ?
registry means plexus-registry. I need to store the html content somewhere and not a new db change will be accepted

Yes, it's fine to allow the end user to remove the copyright text.

Does plexus-registry mean it will be in the continuum.xml file? I don't want to see configuration go into the database, we already have another issue for getting some existing configuration out of the db.
