I would prefer that we have an easier migration path than this, but this is a good idea anyway for backup purposes. I assume you can use the modello model version to generate some XML and do this, assuming you updated the version before changing things after alpha-1.

This is extremely important.

just selecting configurations should be one option, but being able to export the whole history would also be useful.

For 1.0, we should look at making the upgrade process less manual.

This should allow for complete backup and restoration of continuum while accounting for changes in the data structure.

we need to generate all jdo part for the updater, so we'll have a store version by model version
